IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

  • When availability shows at Amazon they will often just add lots of small amounts of stock which constantly comes and goes. If this appears to be happening, try keep refreshing the Amazon webpage and use the '1-Click Ordering' to checkout quickly (ensure the seller is actually Amazon and not a 3rd party seller before clicking).
  • Please DO NOT rely on receiving an email or push notification alert to find you stock. We will send notifications on a case by case basis. It is pointless us sending thousands of notifications if a retailer only has a few units of stock which get snapped up almost immediately. Just leads to further frustration.
  • Please do not attempt to sell on this forum. There is another well known website for that. Offending posts will be deleted and user accounts suspended without notice.

Thanks, Admin

True, but if your lucky enough to live in the right area (as was I) its good to know where to search to get it. Would have been nice if amazon and amazon prime now didnt behave like completely different companies to make it easier.

It is a glitch. Its because some stupid person has their seller name on Amazon as Amazon. Thats why it went off. 150 pounds with 2 left.

Amazon Prime Now London... Just to clarify, at least for the city of London, different parts of the city will have stock while other parts will show it as unavailable (sold out). I just randomly checked Amazon Prime Now on my ipad and it was listed as being in stock. (I live in South London) But if you use a central London post code, nothing shows up. So don't be afraid to use different postcodes for different areas of town.

Hi, I managed to snag one using "Amazon Prime Now" and two hour delivery, even though I don't live in a delivery area. I found the nearest city they deliver to, in my case it was Portsmouth. I then when to Google Maps and found the farthest town from Portsmouth and nearest to me they deliver to, in this case it was Havant (which saved me a few miles) which is a 50min drive away. I then added a delivery address to my Amazon Prime which was a Caffe Nero's in Havant and went for a morning out to Havant. When I got there I went to the Caffe Nero (although you can do it before you leave if you're brave enough) and ordered the SNES. You then get a delivery time, you can also watch the status on the map which shows where your package is in real-time. Grab a coffee, have a mooch around town etc keeping an eye on the map. A little before the delivery I want back to the cafe, had another coffee and waited, watching the map as my SNES came closer Smile. Then bang on the two hour delivery time the Amazon man walked though the door of the cafe and I picked up the package and came home! To be honest I was surprised it worked, but I now have a SNES for my son's birthday this week! No only that because it was the first time I ordered from Amazon Prime I got £5 off! So that's sticking two fingers up to the scalpers! Yay!

I think it is wrong that amazon are using a postcode lottery as to who can get one from prime now. Surely it should be on there normal site for all prime members

Just to let people know, there's a bunch just turned up on Prime Now for me (I'm near their East London hub) and if you've never used it before there's a £5 off via the main Amazon site, plus if you pick a 2h window later in the day there's no delivery fee - score!

Thanks for the tipoff. Just tried Amazon Now (living in Glasgow) and there are still some in stock. Getting it delivered tomorrow (bit late right now). Used the promocode primenow5 and got the £5 discount.

I'm glad a few of you have managed to get hold of one. The driver that delivered mine yesterday said they are getting about 25-30 units every other day. This seems to suggest there is at least a steady flow from the manufacturer, but I think it is a little poor that Amazon aren't releasing via their regular channels as well as it relies on having Prime membership and being in a Prime delivery area, of which there are very few at the moment.

I had to get one sent to where my sister's significant other lives in London, would have rather had direct delivery to where I live.

I tried to get one from the Glasgow PrimeNow (sucks this is the only one in Scotland) but after I filled in my Brother's address it said it was now out of stock so I missed it cus of limited hubs. Saying that if I can get it on amazon and use the discount code then its the best price on the market so I'll keep at it.

What I think is happening here, is all of the stock goes to Europe, so us poor saps in the UK pay over-inflated prices. Just a thought,

That seems to be normal for Studio. I've never known them to fulfill any orders when we have listed them in the past, hence why we don't now.

In the hope that someone reads this please visit your local Asda. I just picked one up for £70 from Asda Hamilton. Absolutely no signs that they even stock the SNES classic but just ask at the music and video desk, they do have some. There will be 3 left in that particular store now as there were 4 when I purchased mines but I'd imagine it's a similar scenario up and down the country, ASDA don't really know what they are doing when it comes to selling games. I know that online at ASDA it says there is no stock but that's nonsense, as I just chanced my arm this afternoon and was successful. Hopefully if you try it you can pick one up!

THANK YOU!! i saw this yesterday and phoned my local store (Perth), they had stock and even kept one aside for me. i popped in just after 5pm and bought it. i also got my sister to go in, as she wanted one, too. they were a bit coy on saying if they had more stock, but i don't care, we got ours!!

guest287205 - 03/10/2017 10:48

No worries. I'm not 100% Asda isn't listed here but glad you picked one up. My locals asda didn't event have any points of sale saying that they stocked the item! Really bizarre, and the first person I asked behind the till didn't know what I was talking about 😂. Thankfully there was another more clued up staff member who said they had a few round the back!

I second this. Went to Asda, no indication they even sold them. Asked a few shop assistants there - they didn’t really seem to know about them. Showed one a pic of the box and asked her to check. She reappears in 20 mins with the last one! Cost £80 which is good as I was about to pay £130 on eBay!

There were loads of messages this morning on here about the Prime Now app having stock. Then someone d*eleted those messages. But they were right. Who's trying to hide that info from the site users? It's just wrong!

Nobody is trying to hide any messages. If the messages have been deleted, it's because the user who posted them has deleted it.

Strongly doubt there will be an N64 classic, Microsoft / Xbox own most of the classic titles after buying 'Rare' inc, Donkey Kong 64, Golden Eye, etc... That and the control pad cost a fortune to manfacture. They are re-releasing the NES again next year instead...

they wouldnt of wasted they time to ship it (would cost them money) but yes they would of used the UK stock to for-fill DE and FR orders,

I got one from amazon UK right at the start, but like others have said they would have sent their stock to amazon fr and de to sell at a higher price, they did the same with Metroid Samus Returns Legacy Edition also amazon UK only got a tiny allocation

amazon uk had stock literally months ago but none since then, so given everyone else is seemingly getting their last allocations this week wouldnt be surprised if the uk amazon get their last stock too (exclusively for prime members of course)

Report

chrisking66 - 25/09/2017 19:52

since amazon uk can ship them to amazon fr / de / es, than sell them for more (well they really wouldnt do that they would just forfill the uk orders with the ones in the uk warehouse), why wouldnt they, it should be no surprise why FR/DE/ES have had lots of stock, and the uks had none, a better margin

I've given up with Amazon, managed to get two from my local ASDA, before I left I asked the sales assistant how many she had left and they had around 10 units. So chaps try your local ASDA they have not put stock out as limited space for entertainment go in and ask hope this helps and good luck.
