My girlfriend received her order from Currys this morning (order placed on the 7th) and we are thinking of returning it. The console came in that terrible grey shipping bag and the console box inside is in terrible condition! All 4 corners are bashed and there's a massive dent on the front. I was honestly expecting better! I got mine from Very on the same day which was also delivered today in a massive cardboard box and it came in pristine condition! Am I exaggerating? It seems like the console from Currys was handled badly and might have been damaged.

It may have been damaged while in transit. Mine was delivered today and the box is okay. And the actual switch is in perfect condition.

Yeah it was in the grey bag, but the box was not damaged inside. There was a bit of scuffing but I think that was just from being handled and everything inside the box was well wrapped and not damaged at all.

Thanks for your message. I'm not going to risk it, our box is pretty beat up. Not going to open and check in case they don't accept the return. I still think it's unacceptable for them to ship such an expensive product without any protection.

Mine came today in that lovely grey bag but all is ok with the device. I’m more worried on the fact Royal Mail rang my bell and when I went to answer the door the package was on my doormat but the postman had long gone lol he didn’t even wait to see me pick it up. They fully don’t care!

i've been trying since the start of march. It's not worth even thinking about anymore as theres just too many people and bots instantly snagging them. Looks like i won't be getting one for at least another month. I've been asked 'any switches today' by my 3 boys every single day. Hate to disappoint them.

Received emails from Curry's overnight to say that they're no longer going to stock the grey or neon Switches anymore... thankfully I managed to get one from them last week but I didn't remove my notifications from them about the restock.

Does anyone know if the most recent stock altert was genuine/had been successful? I kept constantly trying from 5:05 - 5:10 but couldn't even add the product to my basket because it said it was sold out, other times when I refreshed the page and saw the add basket option light it, it'd say there's been a problem. Also received no email from Currys talking about new stock despite signing up for it.

It's happened again, for the 5:31 stock alert - still unavailable. It might be worth keeping an eye out today in case this is some indication of Curry's receiving stock but maybe not available for purchase yet. I might just be talking nonsense though.

I’ve been on here a while. Curry’s normally email saying they won’t come back in stock, then the next day they get them. Keep your eyes peeled. It’s how I got mine. Always pay for next day delivery because they prioritise these orders first. Good luck people. I just browse on here for a mate, I luckily got one after about tjree weeks of hunting, it is just pure luck unfortunately x

The early AM stock is most likely relisting from cancelled orders and therefore only 1 or 2 units available.

Well, I paid for a switch with Currys on the 7th and a few of us were told they sold out fast but would be sending our ones out as they restock. This hasn't happened yet so I assume anything getting listed as in stock now will enjoy taken off and given to those of us that have been waiting since the 7th.

I then got got an email in the evening saying they needed to cancel as no stock,,, However, they emailed me back on the 8th saying they ave now been informed that this item will be available for delivery within the next 7 days. Same here. Originally cancelled then told they will send my item out as stock arrives. I've been on hold to customer services for 40mins thus far with no progress. Live chat said when the stock comes in, we will get an update but call customer services for more details. Basically, being sent from pillar to post.

I ordered two (neon) from them. First one from their main site, second from their ebay site about 30 minutes later (a gift for a relative and another for our family so we can play games against the relative. The first order arrived on Tuesday. The second ebay one has still not dispatched and now they have had more neon consoles in and appear to have sold them to new customers.

Hello guys I've been following this website for about 3 weeks now. And since then I also had emails from Currys saying that they would not restock the Nintendo switches (both colours) anymore. However I found out that nearly every 2/3 days they restock at 5am. Last Thursday I saw that there was stock available at 5 am. So yesterday I woke up again at 5 just to check and I managed to get one. So my suggestion is wake up at 5 and check it for about half an hour if they are available. Hope this helps.

Managed to order twice with curry’s in the early hours of the morning and on both occasions my order has been cancelled and refunded the next day. I will keep trying!

Perhaps Amazon has priority over the over shops, as it has more warehouses, more employees meaning they can hold more safety?

i got this email on Monday 20/7/20. Find something else you love. Just to say the item you asked us to email you about, Switch - Neon Red & Blue, won’t be coming back in stock. But we can still help you get it right. Why not check out the rest of the range now? I was gutted,as we were hoping to get a switch for our son's birthday this Sunday. The tone of the message is very final and most people reading it, would take it to mean that they would not be restocking the item at all in the future. I managed to get a Nintendo Lite from the local supermarket. Shocked to get email from Currys this morning saying the item I wanted was back in stock. So really confused as to why they send misleading messages like this. Going to get a Nintendo Switch for Christmas for all the kids instead..

I don,t trust curry’s on items like this they very quickly take your cash only to then cancel your orders then you have to wait at least five working days to get your cash back there not for me I purchased from Nintendo uk yesterday and would rather wait for them to send me my switch bundle than buy of curry’s for me buyers beware..
