The games console is region free, so it will play games bought anywhere in the world. Also, you can set the store to UK when you register your account. The only extra expense you need is to change the power cable or get an adapter.

Hi Kingscrewe, I had the same experience. Amazon.de said delivery the Sunday after release, then it got delayed, customer services apologised and expected date was 12-15 December. Then had another email saying it had been dispatched for delivery Thursday. The stock
must be slowly feeding thru with Amazon sending it straight out.

Just checked mine was dispatched Monday and arrived in the UK this afternoon, for delivery tomorrow. So fingers crossed should be with you the weekend

Costs 520β¬ for a disc version, not β¬499 because of the German VAT being only 16% Vs UK at 20%, but no extra duty

Anyone paying in Euro, to avoid Non Sterling fees you can use TransferWise to get a euro MasterCard. Card costs Β£5 and can be set up in about ten minutes. Once activated you can get card details immediately too, so you don't need to wait for the post.
I set mine up this morning and have already updated my payment method, feel free to PM if you're interested and need help.

Great thanks for reply. Only other question left is the Blu-ray player. Do you know if I will I face region lock problems with Blu-ray's bought in UK? I was reading a forum about the PS4 that said some dvds and Blu-ray's are locked to certain types, and a German console may have different region codes than a UK one.
As I say, not very clued up on this sort of stuff so just want to clarify really. Cheers, I appreciate your responses!
