Checked, yes in stock but bundles are £749!! That includes an extra controller, Horizon game, headphones. Are those extras worth £300 - not in my opinion!

I agree with you - its expensive for the extras. I spoke to a lady from currys on a web chat and she said the reason for the bundles and prices was due to people buying PS5's just to resell for more on selling sites. So it seems the actions of a few are affecting many with the bundles and pricing.

They still went in a nano second as usual. I tried to get one of the bundles as my PS5 recently broke. The 1TB WD SSD is worth like £150+. Amazon say it's RRP is £257.99 (which is stupid) and it's currently at £139.99. Currys sell it for £172.00. The headset like £50, extra controller £50, Game (Horizon or GT7 if you're not interested in them) could sell like £50+. It's awful to only offer these bundles but I don't think value wise they are THAT bad. Add up the RRP's of all the items it's not as bad as it first seems. but I do agree these bundles being the only choice was AWFUL. I'd have kept the 1TB WD_Black SSD and Horizon and tried to sell sold the headset and extra controller for £100 if I didn't like the headset (i do need a better one). Doesn't matter anyway. My order got canceled, so that's annoying. My launch unit lasted like 14months then randomly died on me, and PlayStation support are JOKE.

I just had a look at the price of the SSD now, your right 172 on currys. when added up there is a saving if you was to buy them at RRP individually. I wanted GT7 and the external drive anyway so I'm happy. the extra controller is always good to have. I would probably sell the headphones as I wouldn't use them. They have sold out already have they? I thought they would of lasted a bit longer than that. I was waiting for them to allow me to add it to the basket and bought mine as soon as they were available, I hope mine isn't cancelled then if they went that quick

Congrats bud. I've been keeping an eye on the site since yesterdays stock. It's went from "delivery not possible" - basically out of stock, to me just checking now and it shows "Yes, we can deliver this to [my postcode] - I tried to purchase, however it did the same thing. Instant email "We've had to cancel your tech order" fml how this long in to the life of the device can there still not be bloody stock!

I tried again but this time I chose the £10 shipping instead of free, and instead of an instant "We've had to cancel your tech order" email - this time about 30secs later I got 2 emails "Order Acknowledgement" then "We're pleased to confirm your CURRYS order" Soooo time will tell? I hope I got one. I miss my PS5, and I cannot be bothered with Playstation support and sending it to them and all thatcr*p.

So they claim the reason for the bundles was to deter people reselling the bundles? I'd never buy from a reseller due to the loss of warranty, and also I don't want to support scalpers. Can't the industry find some way to reduce the ability of the scalpers, such as a console must be activated by a valid psn account within 10 days of purchase. then the scalpers would just have a worthless box and a £449 loss

I couldn’t figure it out either when the currys lady told me on the phone - my first thought was that they are being given things in a bundle cheaper that they can sell on individually and make more? I can’t see a bundle deterring them. I agree that something needs to be done about these scavengers buying up stock just to resell at a higher price. What you just suggested is a good idea surely they can implement that somehow

It's an absolute rip off from Curry's and others, this excuse that they are only selling in bundles to stop scalpers is absolute bollox, they're trying to flog as much cheap s***e as possible at inflated prices, I hope they never ever get stock in again.

My only issue with the bundle is the headset tbh. Of course in an ideal world a bog standard £449.99 option would be available, but perhaps there is some truth to what has been said about these bundles being to deter the scalpers. The WD_Black 1TB SSD is a great SSD, and an extra controller never hurt. It can also easily be resold for £50. The headset can probably too. The SSD alone on Currys is £172.00. I wouldn't call it a ripoff if you add up the value of each item in the bundle. I respect your opinion, but that's just my opinion.

To anyone who might have had the issue of being hit with the "We've had to cancel your tech order" email right after ordering yesterday when they re-stocked, I THINK i just got one (We're pleased to confirm your CURRYS order). I had been watching the site and changed from (cannot remember exact details) cannot deliver to this [postcode] (i.e. out of stock). This morning I tried again. I got the "We've had to cancel your tech order" email again. THIS time however when I tried again I chose the faster £10 shipping, and the order APPEARS to have gone through. Instead of before the instant "We've had to cancel your tech order" I received 2 emails "Order Acknowledgement" and then the "We're pleased to confirm your CURRYS order". I did also use my Debit card this time, but last time I tried both PayPal and my Debit, both failed. So... for anyone who sees "Yes, we can deliver this to [your postcode] - If you have tried in the past with the Free shipping option and it failed, this time try using the £10 shipping option. Yes the bundles are expensive, but in terms of RRP it all adds up fine. If you want a PS5, give it a try. The WD_Black 1TB SSD is a great SSD. And a second controller is always nice, or you can sell it for £50 on eBay. Same with the Headset. Goodluck. Hopefully mine actually did go through and I'm not gonna get let down.
