It turned discontinued last week for a bit too, I think this is just their way of updating things internally. In terms of money, I was told that at some point after the original delivery date that I would get a refund because the order was not fulfilled. When their stock arrives, they will ask us to reauthorise the payment. All should still be good

I think somewhere along the way they removed the option, but it used to be the case that I could buy from eBuyer until 11pm at night and get it next day. I remember this because it always amazed me that as a relatively small business (compared to say Amazon) they were able to offer this. I'm not sure if it's due to location but certainly it used to be a thing, so I wouldn't sweat it just yet.

Likewise - definition from their site: Stock has been allocated, and your order has been passed to the warehouse responsible for shipping your goods. I wonder what this means - it could be legit, or it could be an attempt to tide us over perhaps on the back of the recent complaints etc.?

Messaged live chat. They are expecting more stock before December. They couldn’t guarantee I would be allocated any stock for then as it’s not fully confirmed. Cancelled order, rather not have money in limbo for an indefinite amount of time.

Yes I have mentioned to them that we are all talking to each other and sharing "conflicting" responses.. Agreed, all they need to do is send out a blanket email apologising for selling stock they didn't have and give an honest reply about when they think they may get stock in. We all know it's in high demand and don't mind waiting. It's the feeling of disingenuousness that's aggravating.

I managed to place two orders from ebuyer on launch day as I was trying to simultaneously check out with my own account and guest account (as both kept crashing). One order was placed at 16:53 and the other at 16:55 - a 2 minute difference. The difference in order number is 127 i.e. within those two minutes an extra 127 consoles were sold. Considering these orders were confirmed nearly 45 minutes after initial release I reckon ebuyer has taken 1000+ orders and therefore anyone with a current order will be waiting a very long time to receive their console. I've since managed to secure one from Amazon and have cancelled my other orders.

I just called about this, the person said that their next batch of stock was going to arrive in early December so to expect it then. Not sure why they updated us all from stock issue though... If only they had been a bit more transparent with what is going on and the unfortunate call center people wouldn't have been spending this whole week answering the same questions over and over.

I placed my order on 11th and they called me this morning (13th) to say that more stock was expected before December and that my order would be fulfilled then. I confirmed with them that orders already on the system would take presidence over new orders when the stock comes in. We can but hope!

Think my order is behind all you guys - they probably took 100s before it timed out. I've also changed to order placed and so far it has stayed on that. Guess they can't give any more information on delivery because they don't know either. This whole launch has been disappointing and seeing the scalpers making £££s is the icing on the cake. They should give access codes to those with Xbox/PS accounts first.. that ensures real gamers get the chance to order first. Not that hard to do is it?

So placed my order about 16:28 10/11. The Stock was showing at 24 (maybe 26). It went into stock problem shortly after, it bliped over to order placed this morning and back again then changed to order placed after 16:00 ish today (12/11). According to the website the differnece between order placed and stock problem is exaclty that. It shows as stock problem when they dont have it in the warehouse (ie not logged as an item they can assign in their ordering system). I'm hoping the change over to order placed means they had a delivery yesterday afternoon, that has been added into the ordering system. Now we get to get see, out of us, whos status changes to shipped and whos goes back to stock problem. If mine goes into shipped i'll pop back on here to let you all know Smile "May the gods be ever in your favour".

My order confirmed at 16:07 on 10th is also now back to order placed but this happened to me also around this time too yesterday. I can only assume that each time they adjust stock because they've had some in or whatever that orders change away from stock problem, but then revert to stock problem when all stock is allocated. I guess it's a case of just waiting until they get to you.

There's no difference between Order Placed and Stock Problem - both mean they are awaiting stock to arrive. They must be getting hundreds of calls about Stock Problem so maybe they decided to convert all statuses to Order Placed to calm us down a bit. If I check the tracking status the Goods Allocated box is still grey so no luck yet.

Im not doubting they would do that as I am sure the have had a ridiculous amount of calls over the last few days all asking the same question however, surely after a couple of days of all orders saying order placed and nothing progressing everyone’s just going to ring up again to check what’s happening. At least if it says stock problem we know the situation, giving everyone false hope will surely be worse for them in the long run. Fingers crossed we get an update today.

Agreed guest601224, if they're getting lots of calls it's a problem of their own making. They've been silent about it on their website, on Twitter, and on Facebook. All they have to say is "We're expecting to deliver all current orders by the end of the year", or "We're working through orders, we expect to get a batch in each week until Christmas, please bear with us". The fact they're silent is the reason they're getting hammered. I even tried messaging them on Facebook and got the usual useless answer and all I asked was "Can you give us a rough estimate of when you expect to fulfil orders? Are we talking this week? this month? this year? We just want a rough idea of timescale" but they wont even answer that, it's pathetic. Going to leave negative reviews of them online as a result as it's the only thing companies listen to.

When stock came in On the eBuyer website it showed stock of only 3 units. Trust me, by the time you would have read any alert, the stock would be long gone. No point.

When I first got to my basket there was 32 in stock then after the site timed out there was 24 in stock when I finished my checkout so that makes sense. I'm still on Order Placed/Stock Problem but knowing they opened up orders again for another 3 units of stock the following day gives me hope they they have pre sold the next batch and it's arriving soon.

Just got off the phone with ebuyer customer service, they told me that orders placed today will be in stock at the end of December. I managed to preorder one with Game so I think given they're saying they'll get theirs by the 18th it'll be worth sticking with them.

I just rang their CS and that's what I was told. Seems like people are being told different things depending on which representative they speak to. These things are like gold dust at the minute so I'm not confident I'll be getting one anytime soon no matter which retailer I go to.

If you take a look through this thread & the other thread for Series S (there was a lot of discussion there yesterday when stock went up) - you'll see there's a bunch of different responses / conflicting information; as you said, different representatives are giving out different information so I think everything should be taken with a pinch of salt. I'd say the realist approach would be to expect a console mid-to-late December! That's what I'm doing anyway - if on the odd, rare chance I somehow managed to get one elsewhere, I'll cancel my order at eBuyer

out of interest how many people got through and have ended up with stock problem on there order? i got through yesterday took payment and order confirmed after 20 mins it then showed as stock problem, after ringing they said it had sold out and that my order reverted to a preorder and that they were not getting stock back in till the end of the week.

Seems absurd that they would open sales again before fulfilling previous orders, yet I suspect they've received a new batch and have used that to fulfil some of yesterday's 'Stock Problem' orders (not mine yet unfortunately) and replace the fulfilled orders with a bunch of new 'Stock Problem' pre-orders.

I'm fairy sure they would, it makes zero sense to prioritise people that managed to get an order at a later date or cancel our orders. All of these new sales will be 'Stock Problem' in queue after us, they just want to rack up the sales.

Me the same ordered yesterday at 16.08 got order confirmation. Then an email saying there was stock problems. I rang this morning and i was assured when new stock arived it would be alocated to current orders. I have a feel this isnt the case though as why would they relist them?

Damn I got order acknowledgement at 16.53 and no email about stock issues (had to check my account). Seems like they've got an incredibly long waiting list but they'll work their way through whilst accepting new pre-orders.

if you sold xbox and wanted to make sure you get alot of sales you show stock that isnt there and force all orders to preorders so when stock finally arrives you have 100 0 preorders ready to fulfill instead of another company, i can only imagine what they are doing is bad practice and possibly illegal

Yeah it's a bad way to run business but on the bright side it's a confirmed order that should turn up this month, if you order with Game you're looking at 18th Dec or even 31st Dec with Amazon!

i got to payment when it crashed also, after seeing it was still in my basket i kept trying to get into the basket as it kept throwing an error, finally let me in and of the 41 it clearly stated 24 still available so i continued to purchased made a mess up and refreshed the page went down to 23 paid straight away after that payment and order confirmed 20mins later it showed stock problem, i wouldnt believe these clowns have new stock they have done the same again to people, they are showing new stock to generate guarenteed preorders for when they can get the stock in as they told me they werent expecting anything till the end of the week minimum so i cancelled my order.

Spoke to them today - If your payment has been taken but it's showing as 'Stock Problem' then you're essentially on the waiting list and will be posted a console when they receive a new batch.

Got one in basket and confirmed PayPal processing was long and finally crashed and no stock. Must have been about 2-3 mins of stock. Nice to see they put a capture on the process, oh wait...

This clearly shouldn't have went live again on the site today. They must have taken hundreds of orders yesterday (including mine!!) that they were unable to fulfil. Assuming most people would've just let it run at this point there's no way they could have got enough stock to cover those never mind sell more today 😭 😭

Yeah I think this is the case. It seems like some who ordered yesterday are no longer getting a 'stock problem' on their orders, so I guess there's some hope they'll fulfil at least some of the orders. It's just frustrating to now have the money gone from my available balance until they either cancel It or fulfil it.

In stock again - my order placed yesterday that said stock issues no longer says stock issues. Hopefully they got a big shipment in to fulfil yesterdays orders and now have leftovers to take new orders!

Has your order progress anymore as in dispatched or preparing to yet? I placed my order on yesterdays batch around 16:30ish I think it was and mine is still on stock problem. Knowing they opened pre-orders again today gives me hope that they have a batch of consoles on the way and they have sold up all that allocation.

No point, usual story - in stock, order it, subsequent e-mail saying stock problem... why take money if you don't have the stock.
