Read the Sticky Post at the top -- "We will send notifications on a case by case basis. It is pointless us sending thousands of notifications if a retailer only has a few units of stock which get snapped up almost immediately. Just leads to further frustration."

Demand is currently massive. This is just an odd stock of one or two units, probably cancellations or returns. By the time you would have read any notification, the stock would be gone.

Just a warning guys, I finally managed to order one, and it was due to arrive on Tuesday 15th April. Was at home all day to receive it (obviously). On that day, in the tracking, it got as far as leaving the depot nearby... Finally check Amazon app out of curiosity at 15:10, only to find that it had been marked as "handed over to resident" an hour ago. No buzzer ring, no nothing, no parcel. No issues with any of our other deliveries. Basically, it's been "lost". And I am STILL trying to get Amazon to take responsibility for it, but their call lines are not open and their chat customer service is absolutely abysmal. All they keep doing is offering me a refund and no item, and after being reassured they CAN reorder it despite stock lasting for mere minutes, now being told they cannot reorder it because it's not in stock for long enough. Just so you are aware, because it might happen to you.

what worked for me is even if it says basket empty, go back and keep trying to add to basket. Go back and try 100 times if you need to. I managed to get one after like 60 tries, must have dropped out of someone elses basket!

I just managed to order one (grey, exactly as I wanted), also purchased the pro controller and Animal Crossing. I have been refreshing every 10 seconds for the past four days. Here's my guidance: 1. Download the Chrome extension 'Auto Refresh'. 2. Use the following link to view all colours and all editions of NEW consoles: ***********amazon******/gp/offer-listing/B081W4XHMZ/ref=olp_f_new?ie=UTF8&mv_edition=all&mv_platform_for_display=all&f_new=true 3. Configure Auto Refresh to refresh every 10 seconds. You will need to frequently be glancing at this window. Stock Informer is delayed and stock will be sold out by the time it picks up on it being available. Use SI only as a guide for when products are often released. 4. When you see a Switch available, disable Auto Refresh. 5. Ctrl+LeftClick the 'Add to Basket' button 5 or so times. Check each tab to see if the add was successful. If it was not, close and repeat. Do this for as long as the item is in the list. Getting an error the first time just means you need to try more - it does not mean it's gone! 6. Once you have a Switch in your basket, complete the checkout process as quickly as possible. Ensure you have an address and payment method saved to your account. You can change all of this after the purchase is confirmed so do not stress over it now. For as long as you are s*electing your address and delivery method, someone else can snipe the Switch from you. 7. Congrats, you just got yourself some gold dust!

I think it will arrive a lot earlier than that. I have heard that a fair amount of people get theirs some times 2 weeks earlier or some times gets dispatched a few days later after ordering even if its a pre order of 2 weeks.

Sold out quick, sometimes it's only 1-2 units available and the system takes a min or two to catch up. I would suggest using a few notification services and "Auto Refresh Plus" chrome extension. That way at least 1 of them will alert you and might give you a few seconds extra to grab one.
