It is pointless us sending thousands of notifications if a retailer only has a few units of stock which get snapped up almost immediately. Just leads to further frustration.
For very high demand products, don't be surprised if stock sells out in seconds. An online store may have only made a single unit available.
Any irregular page refreshing or bot activity will result in an automatic permanent block from our server.

Would not accept any cr*dit card on the site, so ended up using paypal. I can only assume that the cr*dit card system is over overloaded as the cards worked fine on other sites. Email confirmation came straight away, but just in case, take a screen shot to confirm you have paid.

Has anyone contacted argos as to what is happening with transactions being made but no confirmation of the order? Their lines are all busy and their online chat service is busy too. Don't want this to be an ongoing issue

This happened to me with Argos not long ago.. It meant the order hadn’t gone through fully and the transaction cancelled automatically with the bank after a few day. I had to order the things again and it went through right the second time.

I think it is when two people buy at the same time, it counts the stock twice, then realises that it is unable to fulfil both orders and one gets ignored until it is refunded. I had two tries in a row that did not work on cr*dit card, in the end I used PayPal which worked and I got confirmation email, in case that helps anyone. Good luck

I managed to get one early in the morning today, received my confirmation email and can collect next Thursday. Best of luck to anyone who still hasn't managed to get one.

Stock informer wasn’t wrong! I got through to the checkout earlier today and managed to pay. Didn’t receive an order number or email. I tried again, paid and received an order number this time! Just collected my switch! Argos have said it’ll take 2 days to reimburse the first payment. Hope this helps

Hoping I've been lucky today with my first day of alerts, albeit I didn't get an alert and was just checking the site and saw Argos had the grey Switch for collection at over 50 stores. Ordered one and got the email confirmation to pick up from Tuesday. Fingers crossed for no hiccups! Thanks Stock Informer.

Picked up my grey switch today at a Sainsbury/Argos in Aberdeen, a day earlier than predicted. My girls will be happy when their birthday rolls around next month. Stock Informer proved lucky for me. 👍

I have been trying for days. Some of the stores you say have switches available aren’t open. So how are they selling stock?

I've had messages saying that aswell. The store are stand alone stores that are closed and are not listed on the Argos website, because they are closed. There is no way to get stock from these stores, even though they probably have loads of stock collecting dust on the shelves.

Is it not possible to pick them up from a nearby Sainsbury's? This is from the Stock Informer website, "IMPORTANT - Due to COVID-19 virus restrictions, pickup can only be from a nearby Argos location within a Sainsbury's store and not the Argos store stated."

I've had several opportunities to buy. I keep the Argos notification page open, put in my postcode with a 20 mile radius and then only get notifications about them. When a notification comes up, I copy the postcode of the store and put that in on the Argos site and scroll down. Sometimes none are in stock, sometimes one or two other stores in the list allow pickup.

I ordered one on Tuesday for collection which was supposed to be ready yesterday (Friday * 9am) and received a confirmation email and text when I ordered but I’ve still not received anything from Argos to say it’s ready to collect or delayed, has anyone else had this issue with the recent restocks?

I managed to place an order yesterday (25th) at about 10am for next day delivery between 8am-8pm, the money came out my bank account and I received a confirmation email & text too. Today (26th) I got a text at 9:30am saying they were unable to fulfil my order and the refund will be 7 days Sad
