Yeah, no email from Smyths or StockInformer - shame really, although thanks to StockInformer I did managed to get a Pulse 3D Headset. Not much I can do with it now, but hey ho.

Came home from work last night and got an email around 2230, went on and bagged a PS5 straight away. Email confirmation received stating pymt taken nearer time of dispatch. Email said 10th December and advert says upto 18th December. Just sheer luck , shortly afterwards I checked and the website had crashed.

Well done! I seem to miss stock alerts every time even though I have signed up everywhere I can think of. Even when Amazon had stock, in the second it took me to click the link and open my app since receiving the Telegram alert they had already gone! I have a feeling my son will be disappointed this Christmas 😥

Managed to get mine last night at 10:55 - it kept crashing but refreshing the page over and over did the trick! Hoping they take in stock earlier than the 18th!

For me, I was able to get up to the bit where they wanted my payment details. I entered those in and it sent me back to my basket with the console still there as soon as I did. I have not received an email from them. Do any of you know if this means I have the console ordered now?

Id check your account to see if the order shows up, I got the confirmation email within a few mins.

hmm that happened to be on the first few attempts - I don't think you have the console ordered if you didn't get a confirmation page & an email as a follow up

It doesn't seem to show up on my account as an order in "order history" Unfortunately. I still had some hope because some people from a different retailer seemed to have gotten the email a few days later. Dunno about this one though. My money from the bank hadn't been withdrawn either when I checked.

Did you receive an email? I tried contacting customer support and they said that people who did place a pre order got an email on what to expect before release/ dispatch. I did not get any such thing however.

What delivery method do Smyths use? I managed to get one last night after and didn’t even look lol just glad to finally get it after failing all day yesterday.

I'm picking mine up from the local Smyths. I'm beginning to think that i should have just had it delivered to my house but i can't guarantee anybody will be home so in store pick up seemed the easiest option.

Smyth's have taken pre-orders and will fulfill these by the 18th. There could be orders that aren't collected or don't go through so they could end up with some "surplus" stock which they may make available. Worth keeping an eye on here to see what date the pre-orders are fulfilled and then refresh the Smyth's website for availability.

I'm so fed up, I bagged a ps5 the other night when stock dropped at 10.30 pm, got to checkout website crashed and lost it, I was furious, rang Smyths next morning, sale never went through, that's the closest I've got to buying one.

I know the frustration. I managed to buy one from Argos on the 3rd, got a confirmation email, and as I was looking at the monitor, amazed by the fact I managed to finally buy one, I got a second email canceling my order. This happened twice in a row.

I feel your pain. I’ve had orders confirmations through Argos. Asda and Game now, all to be cancelled. Sickening when you think you’ve finally bagged one to have it taken away. Trying to get two for my lads.........think I’ve got more chance winning the lottery

I got very lucky with Game, I expected cancellation but I received it on the 27th however, my mate did the same thing at pretty much the same time and had his order cancelled. It's a bit too sly for my liking, I consider myself incredibly lucky!
