Please DO NOT rely on receiving a stock alert alert. We will send notifications on a case by case basis. It is pointless us sending thousands of notifications if a retailer only has a few units of stock which get snapped up almost immediately. Just leads to further frustration.

PLEASE NOTE that ordering an Xbox X on the AO.com website can be very temperamental even if stock is showing. Some users have had success calling up if the stock shows. For this reason, we won't always be sending our normal stock alerts.

No the guy on chat said they weren’t sure when stock would be coming in but I’d get a text alert as soon as they did, I ordered the watch dogs bundle

Does your account show the order as cancelled or anything? I got told the same thing and then a day later nobody at AO seemed to know who jad told me that or why...same bundle too.

I bought that bundle too, but I got a call the following day and they told me that they couldn't fulfill the order, they gave me the option to choose the 3month pass or a controller instead of watchdogs. Did you guys not get that call?

Yeah, I got that call and took the controller bundle. I was told I'd get a call the next day to pay the extra but it never came and nobody ever logged it in their system. But on all three calls I placed to chase up nobody knew what this other offer was about as their system said my order was fine and now 'something' has been shipped for delivery tomorrow. So it was a confusing ride.

I actually asked if I had to pay extra when I had the call, and they told me no, that it would be same price, so they just added notes in the order, you should get what you asked on the phone Smile

Well tomorrow is just going to be a surprise haha. Either way it seems clear they had issues with this bundle and their response (as great as everyone I spoke to on the phone was) has been a bit confused.

My order isn’t cancelled it still says expected tomorrow but I haven’t received a text like my brother has confirming it’s arrival.. very disappointing!

Good ole AO. Series X delivered today 2.30pm .Ordered 03.11.2020 . I sound like a AO fan boy. I was lucky to sneak this one so late. I hope you guys and girls who are still looking get lucky as well. Shop to let me down originally with my September 15th order so I know how disappointing and angry you can feel.

There was no stock. The AO initially showed as In Stock however if you click add to basket it showed out of stock.

Has AO ever had the X in stock? There isn't any tab for it on their site - there is for the S series, which says OOS, but can't see one for the X?

I ordered an Xbox series x on the 17th to be then told it was a system error and they would have to wait till more stock arrived to honour my order. Anyone else had a similar problem? Just hoping more stock before Christmas

Where does all this "ballot" talk come from? The site asked you to register your interest (as most sites have). All you are doing is getting an email alert to tell you stock is coming or stock in now in.

Wish we could screenshot. I cannot see anywhere on the page that says "ballot". There is a large button that says "Request stock alert" and text further down the page says "Placing a Pre Order is not a guarantee of receiving stock and this will be confirmed as soon as possible.". No mention of ballot.

You can Google "box xbox ballot", then on the first search result click the "Enter Allocation Ballot" link. Still seems to be live.

Thanks. On box for co for UK website there was no mention of a ballot (email sign up for stock alert only). The MailChimp link above does note the ballot but MailChimp is an email campaign platform and just wasn't sure if it was actually Box the company that have set it up or its some sort of info grab from a con (asking of date of birth).
