Feel sorry for the parents out there, I'd like to have one sure but I'd happily wait until after Xmas as long as I had an order in. Going to be a lot of disappointed faces come xmas morning. You could blame Sony but when you look at the hundreds if not thousands of units on sale on eBay you need to point the finger at these greedy scalping selfish twats who are in for nothing more than money. There should be laws against interruption of supply chain for consumer goods in order to inflate prices, or at least a cap on how much they can be resold for.

In a realistic world making scalping illegal would be wonderful. But as long as government get tax from these scalpers, then I highly doubt they care. Only way around it is if Sony had some legal clause about selling any Sony product at a profit. Knowing you could be sued would turn scalpers off.

At the end of the day this will hurt Sony as although all stock has sold out, scalpers are now struggling to move their product in the marketplace due to their ridiculously inflated prices. This then has a knock on effect on software sales as this is where the consoles life survives. It would be interesting to see Sony's financial software reports are on consoles sold vs software sold as scalpers are not buying games. It would be difficult to tell at the moment though if scalpers have played their part as we are in the run up to Christmas and perhaps a lot of PS5s could be under a tree. But once New Year kicks in they should have a better picture of the damage caused. So yes scalping could be made illegal

Would never pay the high prices the scalpers are charging. Will wait to get from normal means. More people that do and one stock is normal in shops then scalpers get left with there PS5 go either sell at normal price or less on eBay

Box had the right idea for the Xbox with their “email raffle’. I am rather frustrated with GAME as they have loads of bundles on show been clicking and clicking for a month to no avail..they should be upfront like Smyths who say jan 21. At least you know where you stand.

Just checking into see if my 19/11 ordering buddies received their PS5's? I was a 5am purchaser and it was delivered on the 24/11. Got all my other gear elsewhere but with Stock Informer's help (Amazon & Coolshop). Pulse 3D, 2nd dual sense+charger. Although I signed up for notifications with numerus sellers, only SI came good, never received an email from anyone else.

Went into my local Currys and was told they had 2 pallets of PS5’s in today. Also staff took stock for themselves to put on eBay and what ever was left was given to pre order walk in’s. Currys take the F***ingp**s

I managed to get 2 playstations through a Currys colleague. Staff had access last week, about 10-15 per store. It's worth calling smaller branches just in case.

They had them in on friday. Staff were allowed them first, several stores had a few left over. They obviously never advertised it because they didn't have enough after staff had them.

Its not clearly "bull" I had to travel to collect them, only Digital editions available. If i could post photo here i would, another person posting below had the same thing happen. They arent gonna go public when they didn't have a huge amount. Happy Christmas.

Whether or not they were telling the truth, we're all still unable to get one until the next shipments come in. Supposedly they want to increase supply such that people will be able to purchase one without scalpers clearing them all out. Maybe they were lying but i dont see why they would. He said they literally have them on shelves in the back but were told not to sell any.

Sony do care about scalping. For one main reason. They don't sell software. That is where the profit is my friend. In truth the almost nearly always loose money on the sale of a console. So less software and remotes less profit.
