I spoke to my mate John Diddle, which sounds a bit like Lidl, he says to check the Middle of Lidl, but you need to solve a riddle, do a piddle and then play the fiddle. Then and only then are you allowed a pre-order. But it's a Fony PS5 (Lidl's own brand). Still plays Demon's Souls (although it's called Devil's Spirits)

Just spoke to currys online web call. No PS5 drop dates given to any employees. he did say they are coming soon tho and to check the website. Possibly in the next 1-2 week time period

Got my code and ordered on the 16th. I was told 4-6 weeks and not before! Couldn't find the twitter comments about the stock arriving on the 5th. Fingers crossed for the 5th then!

I have done what other people did and I went and picked it up yesterday. They did not contact me because the game that I ordered the PS5 with was not in stock and i will have to pick it up at a later date.

It might be that the store you've bought it from truly hasn't received their stock yet and shall do soon. They did say it should arrive during the week in some cases.

My friend ordered early November, still hasn't received his. Cancelled my order from late November and got one same day from argos. 14 days to get my refund on a product they never even had in their possession.

So, just though I'd add my experience. We got a Curry's VIP code in Novemeber, waited the 3 - 4 weeks but no call. Started phoning but always got told "It'll be next week, definatley before christmas" Went into the store in early December and was told the same thing. Getting desperate I went back today, told them look, where is the PS5 I ordered. They had them, through the back. Told me managment were preventing them being collected until ALL of tyhe batches were in. So for the November VIP's they had 60 orders which were arriving in 3x 20 drops. But weren't contacting the customers until the 3rd drop arrived! They weren't even sure that this would arrive this week. They said they'd had customers arriving in tears looking for the console. They DID give me the console bundle I'd ordered and I think they are doing that for customers who go in an demand it. The worst part was, the visit in early December it was the same assistant, he told me they had them in the shop then, straight up were told (by managment) to give a story(!) about them arriving next week. So I have my console, Christmas is saved but if you're waiting on a call, don't bet on it, get over to the shop and demand it. Hope this helps.

Was able to get one, found it by accident the second it came out. Took stock informer about 15 mins to pick up on it. Hoping the order does not get cancelled, will know tomorrow as it is due then. If this is the end of my hunt then goodbye all and good luck finding a ps5 for upyourselfs! Don’t give in to scalpers

I got a "VIP" code and ordered the PS5 console bundle the past 19th of November at Currys High Street Kensington. They told me it'll arrive before Xmas and they'll call to collect it as soon as it's dropped at the store. After Xmas I went to the store several times to enquire for a date, they keep on telling me that currently they don't have idea whether or not it will be available anytime soon. I wonder if the VIP codes are a scam to keep your money and order consoles that they actually sell to walk-in and online buyers. True that I have the option to cancel the order and wait weeks for the refund, but all the time wasted at the store is not refundable. It should be illegal to charge for an item they do not have and do not know when they will have it. To me it looks more like a scam!

If anyone in the same situation, waiting for a call that 's not going to happen, please let me know. I am going to report their con to Trading Standards.
