Took me over 20 minutes of refreshing page but i finally managed to get to payment screen and buy ... recieved a txt and email confirming order... fingers crossed it doesnt get cancelled.

Managed to get to checkout and keep getting payment failures with "Sorry, your order failed to place. Please try again." I imagine this is why stock keeps reappearing every 10 mins or so; people reserve in basket then can't checkout so the item is released.

tried Mastercard instead of Amex, and now getting "order pending" instead. I guess that's better but I'm not hopeful.

I managed to get past the payment screen only to receive a message that the order didn't go through and no order confirmation email. Argos still took the money from my cr*dit card though!

Just got a email and text from Argos that I can go and pick up my Xbox. Really thought it would be cancelled but looks like I was lucky.

I managed to order one a few days ago, but my order got canceled, since then, it does pop out quite often as available in various shops around me, but every time I click on Pay and collect now, I get the "Sorry, the below item is no longer available message". Annoying.

when I've contacted customer service in regards to my cancelled order, they just blamed the system, saying that there is nothing they can do, and the fact that I should keep trying to order another one, and hope for the best. Literally, that's what they said..

Possibly helpful? Couldn't sleep Saturday night, so 3.10am Sunday morning 21/11/21 was trawling again for a series X. ONE popped up as in store after a couple of refreshes, managed to order it and picked it up yesterday (7 hour round trip!) Maybe 3.10am is a stock change time? Good luck everyone xxx

Was ready to pull the trigger but just not worth the hassle reselling the controller on eBay for about 100 and 50 at best for the game. As I don't need the controller and have game pass. So would essentially be paying scalper price at minimum. Gutted.

No stock in any of the argos stores now fingers crossed I did manage to reserve at more than I wanted to pay and after scrambling with card authorisation codes etc finally got a confirmation - hope they dont cancel

Got one as well after weeks of trying recevied the conformation at 7.30 and should be able to collect from 9am tomorrow.
